The Fox and the Demon Hound :Kuroshitsuji

"Plu Plu!" Finnian shrieked as the demon dog ran through the large gardens of the Phantomhieve manor, crushing flowers as he ran. The young blonde boy chased after the large grey dog, flinching as every single flower was crushed. "Mr Sebastian will be angry!" He whined. The demon stopped at the end of the flowerbed and plonked down on his bottom wagging his tail and looking up at the sky. Finny stopped beside the demon dog, panting out of exaustion, the beast could really run fast.
Finny looked behind him to see the abomination that was once the flowerbed filled with red roses. "Young Master isn't going to like this at all..." He looked up at Pluto who was staring out in the sky, wondering what the demon dog was looking at. When he looked closer, the dog looked like he was sniffing the air. "What is it Plu Plu?" He asked. The demon dog didn't respond and began to stand on all four, looking on into the distance.
Finny looked at Pluto, feeling as if something bad was going to happen. Before he could do anything, Pluto barked loudly, sending flames flying out of his mouth and burning several trees in front of him. Finny shrieked as the tree burst in the flames. "Pluto!" He cried. "There could have been birds in those trees!" The demon dog ignored him and ran off out of the garden and away from the manor. Finny watched in confusion for a few seconds before realising he should follow the demon hound before he did something worse. "Wait! Plu Plu!" He called, chasing after it.
Pluto stopped outside a deep dark forest a few miles away from the mansion. Before entering it, he sniffed the ground and howled, telling Finny exactly how far away he was. The blonde boy heard the howl and ran towards the noise. When he reached the demon dog, it ran into the forest, leaving him behind once again. Finny rolled his eyes and panted from all the running.
"This is getting ridiculous!" He whined before catching his breath and once again following the demon hound. Pluto had gone far into the forest and lost the worried Finny. He continued to sniff the ground and look around. He could sense something unusual around, like another demon, but unbenounced to him just what kind of demon. It wasn't at all like Mr Sebastian...it was an animal type of demon. Pluto stopped when he came across what looked like a human woman hid behind a tree, her orange hair shining in the moonlight. He jumped slightly when he noticed a pair of orange ears and bushy tail, a fox tail. The demon dog sat down and tilted his head, causing the fox tailed girl to giggle. At that moment, Pluto changed back into his human form and sat there with his tongue out panting. The girl stood from behind the tree and walked closer to him. She seemed to be wearing some kind of loincloth outfit. The girl smiled and sat down in the same way as Pluto, scratching her fox ear with her hand.
"Your not from these parts are you?" She asked in a playful tone.
"Arf!" Pluto answered. The girl looked at him with a confused look.
"You cannot communicate with other species?" She asked retorically. "That could be a problem....If I didn't have a way to solve it ofcourse" She giggled flicking her hand. The girl walked towards the demon dog and bit down on his neck with her sharp fangs making him yelp. Before Pluto could try and bite her back the girl jumped backwards and sat back down. "There you go..."
"What did you do that for?" Pluto yelped angrilly. The girl rolled her eyes.
"So you could comminicate with me ofcourse." She said smugly. "Some demons can't commicate with a demon fox."
"So your a demon fox?" He asked, rubbing his neck. The demon fox nodded.
"That I am." She said proudly. "You must be a-"
"I'm a demon hound!" He interrupted excitedly.
"I kind of guessed." The demon fox giggled. "What's your name doggy?" She asked.
"I'm Pluto." He answered.
"Nice to meet you pluto" She said politely, her tail swishing back and forth. "I'm Venus." Venus licked her hand and scratched her ear again. "So what are you doing in the forest Pluto?" She asked, walking up to him and clutching his collar. "You obviously not wild with this thing around your neck."
"I could smell your scent and I went looking to see what it was..." He explained. "and that's when I found you."
"So you were sniffing me out?" Venus asked rather curiously, feeling slightly uncomfortable. Pluto nodded.
"Yeah." He answered. "I came from the Phantomhieve manor. I was with Finny and...Uh oh..." Venus looked at him with a confused expression.
"What's wrong?" She asked. "Who's Finny?"
"Finny is the boy who looks after me." He explained. "I left him behind back in the woods" Venus's eyes widened.
"A H-human boy?" She stuttered backing up slightly. "In the woods?" Pluto tilted his head at the demon fox's distressed look.
"Don't worry Venus" Pluto said assuringly. "Finny won't hurt you. He's harmless." He chuckled slightly. "Why are you afraid of humans?" He asked. Venus sighed and looked down at the floor.
"Im not quite sure..." She mumbled. "It has something to do with my past....but I cannot remember anything before I came to live in this forest a few months ago." Pluto whined sympathetically.
"You don't remember anything?" He asked.
"I remember a little...." She answered, stroking her own tail to get out the dirt. "I remember being chased by humans through a dark hallway. They were wearing labcoats and carrying chains in order to catch me. That's all I remember ...until getting here those weeks ago." Pluto sighed at hearing the fox's memories.
"Im sorry Venus" He said sympathetically. Venus looked up from her tail and smiled slightly.
"It's not your fault Pluto.." She said softly. At that moment, Finny ran towards Pluto with a relieved look on his face.
"Plu Plu!" He exclaimed happily. Pluto barked and leapt at Finny, licking his face. "Where have you been?" Finny giggled. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Venus who was shaking in fear. He turned to the demon fox and blushed slightly. "Did you find her Plu Plu?" Pluto barked as if to say yes, then barked repeatedly as if talking to Venus. As a matter of fact, he was talking to the demon fox, it was just that Finny couldn't understand him.
"Do not worry Venus...This is Finny." Venus gulped and edged closer to the two of them, her ears twitching nervously. Finny slowly stretched a hand out to the demon fox.
"A-are you sure?" She asked nervously. Finny shrieked as he heard the demon fox speak, making her jump back and hide behind a tree.
"You can talk?" Finny asked nervously. The demon fox poked her head from behind the tree and nodded.
"Yes..." She answered. "Demon foxes are the very few who can communicate with humans." Finny gulped and twiddling his thumbs.
"Your a demon fox?" He asked. Venus nodded.
"I am yes" She stuttered feeling just as nervous as Finny was. "Im Venus" Finny smiled softly. Venus stepped from behind the tree and sat before him and the demon dog again.
"I told you he was harmless Venus" Pluto barked.
"I realise that now Pluto." She answered. Finny looked at her in suprise.
"You can understand Pluto?" He asked. Venus nodded and swished her tail. "Where have you come from Venus?" Finny asked. "We have never seen a demon fox in this woods before. Venus sighed.
"I can't really remember where I came from. I lost my memories..."
"Oh.." Finny said scratching the back of his head. "By the way I'm sorry if I scared you..." He said guiltilly.
"It's alright " She answered sweetly. "I shouldn't have reacted so silly." She giggled still feeling slightly nervous. But Finny's sweet nature was making her feel a lot more comfortable.
Suddenly, Pluto began sniffing the air again.
"What's wrong Plu Plu?" Finny asked worriedly. Venus gave a shiver as she began to sense something too. The two demon looked around for a sight of this strange presence, but saw nothing in the darkness. The two were caught offguard when a dark figure leaped out and grasped hold of Finnian. The blonde boy yelped as he was pulled away by the collar in the strange creatures' mouth.
"Finny!" Pluto barked before chasing after him. Venus, who was terrified with what just happened, hestitated for a moment. She was frightened but felt like she had to help. She sighed before running in the direction Pluto had gone, trying to find out where they had run off to.
